This is an opportunity to connect deeply with feminine yoga practice, and tailor your yoga practice to support you through peri-menopause and menopause. We will be looking at restorative poses, adrenal support, energisers, poses for hot flushes, pranayama (breathwork), meditations, and always have a luxurious, deep relaxation to finish.
Nikki crafts a blend of Womb Yoga, Dru Yoga, and Yoga Nidra:
Womb Yoga, on a physical level, ensures for healthy organs, blood supply and energy flow in the pelvis , but it goes much deeper, helping us to connect with our deep femininity, intuition, and power as women, and to expand that connection from the heart, to the womb, and to the Earth ( more on Womb Yoga here)
Dru Yoga , with it’s innate connection to nature, flowing sequences and emphasis on energetics, has an wonderful affect on our wellbeing and energy levels, helping us to feel calm, centered, compassionate, and at the same time energized and empowered. (see here)
Yoga Nidra is an ancient form of deep relaxation with profoundly nourishing and replenishing benefits – a form of radical rest.
No experience necessary - all postures can be adapted to suit your particular body.
The invitation is to come to this practice from a place of self-love and self-nurture. You can rest or adapt at any time, doing whatever feels right and good for you in each moment.
- Your yoga mat, one or two blankets, a bottle of water, and a pillow or two for the yoga nidra.
- Wear loose fitting layers, and have a warm layer and socks for the nidra, even in Summer.
You want to be super warm and cosy so you can relax deeply.
